Super Bowl

MAN!!!...what can I say?  My Colts loss a pretty good game and it sucks.  I'm a die hard Colts fan so I was glued to the TV.  Can't really complain, the Saints played a good game and deserved the win.  The city has been through so much and the team has been great all year.  Love mostly all the players on the Saints and this was the SuperBowl match up that I wanted to see.  If a team had to beat the Colts I can take it being the Saints...still doesn't mean I have to like it.  So now I just want to go into football hibernation and put this game behind me.  Really I just wanted to say congrats to the Saints, but for me it'll always be GO COLTS!!!!!!!!

(till next year)

Name says it all

Let me start by saying that yes, I know that to some our name is confusing.  I always get the usual question "what's a lil woskie?" and the answer is sometimes difficult to say.  I'll begin by stating that it is pronounced, woe-ski, not woo-ski.  We came up with the name Woskie almost ten years ago and I guess the real credit goes to Andre 3000 of Outkast fame.  In a song on the Stankonia album he says the word woskie in a rhyme and immediately Mike started to use it in his normal vocab.

We use the term "woskie" as a description of a friend or person you may know.  A woskie can be yo boy, family, or that dude you know around the way.  When we thought about starting a company years ago, we always knew that we wanted Lil Woskie to be our brand name.  Anybody can be a woskie and we thought that would be a great name for our brand.  It's a title that encompasses us all, which is how we want our brand to be.  We want to have something for everyone and your name has to say that.

I hope that gives you a little more insight to how we came up with our name and what it means to our brand.  I hope to expand these blogs in the future but just bare with me, I'm fairly new to this.  Stay up and stay tuned Lil Woskies!!!!

Start

Everything that you do has a beginning, and in the past years we've had a few.  The creation of this company started with just two guys, who decided to stop wondering "what if?" Mike Schick and myself (Mahlon Evans), started this dream of having a clothing company last year and the journey has been long but great.  There has been so much to do,  from paperwork to creative decisions.  It didn't take long for us to realize that there is much to do in owning a company.
I wanted to start this blog as a way for people to get to know us better and give insight on some of the day to day experiences of a new company.  I will try to break down some of the things that lead us to where we are and give a few insights to our brand.  I hope that you'll enjoy what you read and that maybe it'll help some of you that may look to create your own brand.
